WOLF is a raw coming-of-age drama about identity, friendship, and the pressure of imposed masculinity. The film follows Nova as she struggles with the expectations placed upon him by those around her and tries to find her own way in a world where toughness is seen as the norm.

Amidst scrapyards, abandoned vehicles, and the close bond with his friends, an intimate story unfolds about growing up, daring to be yourself, and breaking free from imposed ideals. WOLF explores how vulnerability can actually be a form of strength and tells a visually powerful, emotional film that is both raw and hopeful.

What we offer
Project fee of €500 for 5 shooting days (including the cost of hair and make-up supplies). In addition, your travel expenses will be reimbursed, and we will provide well-catered food and drinks on set every shooting day.

This is a modest compensation, as it involves a low-budget passion project.

In return, however, you will collaborate with award-winning filmmaker Abel van Essen, whose films have been screened at film festivals in Europe and Canada, supported by various film funds, and made with an experienced, professional crew full of passion. Additionally, you will contribute to an ambitious film production that will be screened at film festivals throughout the Netherlands.

We are looking for a hair and make-up artist who:
Can provide makeup services to create believable sweaty faces, bruises, and nosebleeds.
Can style the actors' hair (and touch up lightly where necessary for continuity between shooting days).
