(auto-translated from Dutch Dutch)
Project Janus is an independent science-fiction short film of approximately 20 minutes (pilot/short film), produced in Amsterdam.
The story follows Mark, a scientist using an experimental quantum computer to identify the exact point at which his life divided into two possible realities: one in which he survived and one in which he died. As the system reconstructs events from its past, the distinction between scientific observation, memory and reality begins to collapse.
The film combines an emotional human story with themes of quantum physics, regret, identity and the consequences of trying to change the past. Live-action performances will be combined with carefully produced visual effects and AI-assisted cinematic elements.
