For a new series of five cultural reports, Stichting MorocColors is looking for an experienced director/editor.

Activities
Contribute ideas regarding the content, structure, and narrative form of the reports.

Writing and improving scripts and presentation texts.

Coaching the presenter on text, posture, and presentation for the camera.

Providing content direction during the filming days.

Coordinating with the presenter, camera crew, editor, and involved organizations.

Maintaining the style and coherence of the entire series.

What we offer
This is a paid freelance assignment. We will discuss the exact scope of work and compensation based on experience, availability, and a quote.

The work consists of preparation, script development, presentation coaching, and directing during the filming days. Shooting takes place at various locations in the Netherlands. Travel and any parking expenses will be reimbursed in consultation.

- Demonstrable experience directing news reports, documentaries, or television programs.
- Experience with writing and editing scripts and presentation texts.
- Experience coaching presenters in front of the camera.
- Strong sense of narrative structure, visuals, and pacing.
- Able to transform content into an accessible and engaging story.
- Can give clear instructions to the presenter and camera team.
- Experience with directing during on-location shooting days.
- Good command of the Dutch language.
- Can work independently and collaborate well with a small production team.
- Flexibly available for preparation and five shooting days at various locations in the Netherlands.
- Has a relevant portfolio or showreel.
- Works as a freelancer and can provide a quotation and invoice.
