Motion Picture Company TABOO with the support of the Buddy Film Foundation is inviting applications for a short-term professional development practice-based course in the Ivana Chubbuck Acting Technique. The approach has been used by acclaimed actors including Halle Berry, Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron, and James Franco.
During TABOO course twelve tools will be examined through rehearsing a scene from “Silver Linings Playbook” film between January and March 2027.

❋ Who We Are Looking For ❋
✔️ One male actor
✔️ One female actor
✔️ Age: 20 – 40
✔️ Professional training in acting
✔️ Acting experience in film
✔️ English proficiency: B1 – C2

❋ What We Offer ❋
⇒ A free 12 sessions course in the Ivana Chubbuck Technique led by Antony Voronov, director of a motion picture company TABOO, who was trained in the technique in Moscow.
⇒ Session duration: 2 hours.
⇒ One session per week, held on weekday evenings or weekends.
⇒ Location: Weena 70, Rotterdam.
⇒ The course will be conducted in English.
⇒ Travel and other expenses will not be reimbursed.
⇒ As the course is the private initiative of TABOO and it is not connected to Ivanna Chabbak official school, we can not provide you with any type of certificate. TABOO only offers knowledge and skills, but not papers.

❋ What We Expect From Selected Participants ❋
✔️Read “The Power of the Actor: The Chubbuck Technique” book in its entirety during November – December 2026.
✔️Attend all sessions.
✔️Arrive 10 minutes before each session begins.
✔️Complete homework assignments (1 – 2 hours per week).
✔️Grant permission for photos and videos to be taken during the sessions and published on TABOO's social media accounts (optional).

⇒ A short motivation letter of maximum 100 words.
⇒ A CV or IMDb link, showing your acting training and full filmography.
⇒ An acting showreel or links to films\excerpts featuring your work.
⇒ In your cover email, specify the days and times when you are available for rehearsals between January and March 2027. Rehearsals must take place on weekends or on weekday evenings after 6:00 PM.
