We are looking for an Art Director for our upcoming project 'Beliefs'.

LOGLINE:
Homeless and estranged from her religious family over her sexuality, Lyla searches for acceptance and love. Her sister Charlie shows up to 'save' her so their mother and God can forgive her, sparking a conversation about beliefs.

SYNOPSIS:
Lyla loves to write, and since she is homeless, she often sits in the library where Sia works, a girl she seems to like. Lyla sends her personal musings, which she writes at the library, to magazines, only to be turned down every time. Luck has not struck her yet in many ways. Lyla needs a place to sleep. The shelter where Ole works, who has a soft spot for Lyla, is regularly overbooked, leaving her with no option to stay. She turns to dating apps where going out with someone in exchange for housing, food, or money is the norm, especially for LGBTQ2+ homeless youth. With no other options, she contacts someone she has been speaking with, Girl 3 asking her to meet up tonight. This puts her in a dangerous situation, as Girl 3 turns out to be a man with bad intentions. Lyla is strong and intelligent, which helps her escape the bad situation. She finds herself going to a familiar place, where she decides to spend the night. She falls into a feverish dream where her hopes and worries collide. Her worries are directly confronted when she wakes up to see her sister Charlie, the perfect child. Lyla would rather not be seen by her in this state. She tries to flee but can't overcome Charlie's persistence, leading to a battle over acceptance and beliefs. Charlie tries to save Lyla from her sins so their mother and God can forgive her, but Lyla does not need to be saved—she needs to be loved.
