We are Bram, Ese, Finn, Jonas and Sikandar and we are studying at the HKU in our second year of Audiovisual Media. For this we are busy with the production of the short film LIFT. In an environment full of new construction with skyscrapers, digitalization and exponential growth of population, elevator mechanic Kas remains himself. While everything around him accelerates and alienates, he finds peace and satisfaction in his simple ritual, repairing elevators.
Kas lives in silence and barely communicates, but encounters with residents, from the lowest to the highest floors, force him to open up a little. Each floor reflects his growth, with the elevators going up and down symbolizing his search for balance and acceptance in a world that is changing ever faster.
The film is a visual journey that follows Kas at his own pace, while the viewer gradually discovers more of his world and past. Without many words or gestures he shows his passion for his profession in the chaos around him.

Description
We are looking for residents of the flats where our main character, Kas, repairs elevators. In the story, Kas visits different flats, which means we need a variety of extras. We are looking for people of all ages, backgrounds and types who come in and out of the elevators and thus represent the different residents of the flats. These characters are portrayed surrealistically and play a major role in our film.
