A short film about two art students and the project that will change their lives in a horrific way. Victor and Lisa build a life-size terrarium in Lisa's studio, in which Lisa will stay for two weeks. Their project is a controversial experiment: they want to investigate how Lisa will change, develop or deteriorate during her time in the terrarium. But even with this extreme concept, this school project turns out to be more meaningful than Victor and Lisa could ever have anticipated.

The film is a genre mix of psychological thriller, science fiction and body horror.

The role:
Remco is Lisa's father, a man who has become bitter, stubborn and derogatory due to the setbacks in his life. After the loss of his wife, the relationship with his daughter has seriously deteriorated, to the point that they hardly have any contact anymore. Lisa strongly resembles her mother, both in appearance and in her artistic talents, perseverance and zest for life. This resemblance makes it difficult for Remco to see her; it confronts him with what he has lost. Out of helplessness and pain, he rejects his daughter.

Remco has largely given up on life and struggles with jealousy towards Lisa, who knows how to transform her traumas into artistic expression. This is something he himself would never be able to do or understand. Despite these complex emotions, he will never express them, certainly not to Lisa.

Yet Remco is more than he seems at first. Beneath his hardened and gruff appearance lies a vulnerable and kind-hearted man. As the story progresses, he ultimately reveals himself as a concerned father who dares to leave his comfort zone to help his daughter.

Remco is a robust, imposing man. His hard exterior hides a deep inner vulnerability. This layered and complex role requires an actor who can convey both strength and subtlety.
