Oscar, a young part-time piano teacher, lives happily with his girlfriend Lily and lives a normal life, until one day he comes home from work and sees that Lily has died of an epileptic seizure. This devastates him, but despite the fact that he is completely broken, he tries to live his life normally again and forget about her. However, the confusion and unknown feelings that the grief has created make this very difficult. He seems to have forgotten how to play the piano and can no longer play Lily's favorite song without being overwhelmed by emotions within seconds. When a new woman, Jasmine, enters his life, everything becomes even more difficult for Oscar. Mixed feelings, miscommunication and confusion eventually cause him to run away from a date at Jasmine's house. When he finally gets home, after a mental rollercoaster of emotions, he sits down at his piano and plays the song that Lily loved so much for the first time in a long time. He has finally realized that he should no longer run away from his grief, but embrace it.

What do we offer?
Since this is a student production, we cannot afford to pay actors. However, you will gain a lot of experience and meet new, fun people in the field!

Description
We are currently looking for 1 actor, 3 actresses and 5 to 10 extras, including a featured extra.

Oscar (18-25):
Leading role. A cheerful piano teacher who is very passionate about his job and his girlfriend. When his girlfriend dies, he turns into a kind of empty, emotionless thing. He is constantly confused and does not know what he wants and what he does not want. Deep inside, he suffers extreme emotional pain.
- Acting experience required.
- Must be able to play the piano reasonably well.

Lily (18-25):
Supporting role. Oscar's girlfriend. She is very sweet and caring. She also suffers from epilepsy, which eventually causes her death.
- Acting experience required.

Jasmine (18-25):
Supporting role. A flirtatious, confident girl. Trying to win Oscar.
- Acting experience required.

Martha (14-18):
Supporting role. Sister of Jasmine and student of Oscar. She is very passionate about her piano playing. She is just starting out, but already a natural talent.
- Acting experience required.
-Must be able to play the piano reasonably well.

Woman outside pharmacy (35+):
bit part extra.
- Acting experience is not necessary, but is appreciated.

Funeral goers (all ages):
Extras.
- Acting experience is not necessary, but is appreciated.
- Must have appropriate clothing for a funeral.
