Logline:
Two strangers, a reserved doctor and a terminal patient, are stuck in an elevator. What starts as an awkward silence develops into an unexpected philosophical conversation about freedom and limitations.

Summary:
In a confined space of just four square meters, an unexpected elevator failure brings together doctor Mories and patient Inge. Mories, reserved and emotionally closed, stands next to the lively but impatient Inge, whose time is literally running out. As the minutes tick by, a subtle conversation develops, oscillating between light-hearted observations and profound reflections.

Inge tells how she is allowed to fulfill her last wish with the help of a foundation: a visit to the zoo. This leads to a dialogue about freedom and captivity, both physical and mental. Mories compares himself to a caged animal, which provokes Inge to take him out of his comfort zone. Their clash of perspectives reveals how both are stuck in their own way – Inge in her approaching end, and Mories in his emotional walls.

When the elevator finally opens, Inge continues with her day, while Mories remains silent, struck by the unexpected depth of their brief encounter.

Style and tone:
The script is minimalist and intimate, with a focus on sharp dialogue and non-verbal tension. The confined space heightens the psychological intensity, while the light humor and irony create a balance with the underlying themes.
