The project is my final film for my film and audiovisual media education. I am making a short thriller film.
In my film we follow Sophie, a young woman who temporarily babysits in an old house. At first everything seems normal; she brushes her teeth, talks to a friend, and prepares for a quiet night. But then she hears a knock at the front door. No one is there when she opens it, that small moment is the motoric moment after which the tension starts to build. From that moment on, the events start to pile up and the house feels more and more threatening.
The tension reaches a new level when Sophie finds an old camera in a closet. Curiously, she looks through the lens, and then sees a shadowy extra standing in the doorway. This is her first direct confrontation with this extra, a foretaste of what is yet to come.
The climax comes when the camera starts flashing on its own in the middle of the night, taking pictures of her. A series of nervous, rapid flashes that increase Sophie’s fear. At that moment, the black extra appears behind her, and the tension reaches its peak as she runs to the doorway, only to be caught when the door suddenly slams shut.

It is an educational and creative collaboration, in which you as an actress or voice actress make an important contribution to the end result.

For my final film I am looking for two actresses who want to participate in my short thriller film. This project is a learning experience in which I make an exciting and atmospheric film together with three classmates as a crew.
Experience is not necessary, but I am looking for someone who is good at working with facial expressions and who enjoys participating in an exciting project. It is mainly intended as a learning experience and to gain experience in making a film. Everyone is welcome to respond!
The shooting will take place in Diemen, in the evening hours from 4 pm to approximately 9 pm, spread over three days between February 3 and February 16, 2025. Dinner will be arranged.

In addition, I am looking for a second actress (also 17-18 years old) who wants to voice Sophie's friend, who she has telephone contact with in the film. You do not have to be present on set for this role, because it is only about your voice. This is a fun opportunity if you would like to try acting, but would rather not be in front of the camera!
