This short documentary follows 85-year-old Mrs. de Jonge-Pool who is forced to say goodbye to her house full of memories and moves to a nursing home. A personal portrait about the process of letting go and the impact of the move on her life and sense of incomprehension.

Description
We are looking for a sound designer with a sense of atmosphere and detail. Someone who works with subtlety, has an eye for small sounds and understands how sound design can enhance memories and emotion. Experience with documentary is a bonus, but not required. Creativity and motivation are key!

Job requirements / profile
– You are responsible for the complete sound design of the documentary
– You work with existing audio (synchronous sound) and add layers such as atmos, foley and subtle music (created by composer)
– You think creatively about how sound can contribute to the atmosphere, tempo and emotional experience
– You can work in your own audio program
– You have a good ear for detail and enjoy working with subtle, realistic sound layers
– You can work independently but are also open to consultation about substantive choices
– Experience with sound design for film or documentary is nice, but motivation and a sense of atmosphere are more important. Students are also welcome!
