Hi hello!

My name is Selina Ligero, I am 31 years old and I live in Breda – but I am mobile and can be deployed throughout the Netherlands.

After the Production Assistant course at the Netherlands Film Academy, I worked for Studio Ruba, after which I founded my own film production company Selina Ligero BV. I also run a cleaning company with 17 employees. So management is in my system - but now I want to learn how to translate that experience to a film set, and how to communicate my creative vision more sharply and clearly within the production process.

I am looking for an internship as a director's assistant, starting in the week of June 16. I am available for about two days a week, flexible scheduling in consultation. The internship consists of 240 hours spread over approximately 15 weeks, so until the end of September/beginning of October.

What do I want to grow in?
Visualize & Tell: learn how to support the director as an assistant director in translating script into images, and how form and content reinforce each other.
Collaboration & Organization: using my experience in management in a film setting, where artistic and logistical interests come together.
Reflecting & Positioning: investigating which direction I want to take as a creator, and how I can clearly convey my vision to the cast, crew and audience.

I bring a lot of experience from previous media internships, the private Professional Video Producer training, my MBO 4 diploma in Media & Design (audiovisual) and the current HBO training in Photography, Film & The Digital at AKV|St. Joost.

I am practical, enthusiastic, responsible and used to long, intensive shooting days. I like to get things done, think along in solutions and am energetic on set.

I look forward to contributing to a substantive and well-organized production, and I would like to learn from your expertise.
