About the film
What if sharing your fear is your greatest fear? Sweet, Heart tells the story of a young woman, Roos, who struggles with social anxiety. The pressure of social expectations makes her afraid of things that seem obvious to others: putting yourself out there, making contact, and small talk. For her, these are overwhelming challenges. While she slowly becomes more aware of her fears and withdraws out of shame, her longing for genuine connection remains undiminished. The film is an intimate portrait of the influence of fear and the duality of our emotional inner world. At the same time, it is an ode to gentleness, honesty, and the small moments when we see each other beyond all the desirable masks.
