The Motion is an experimental 8-minute short film shot fully on 16mm film stock. It explores themes of automediality and coming-of-age, weaving personal narrative with broader cultural reflections. That being said, The Motion is part 1 of the three-part dialogue between a woman and the world, envisioning the internal in relation to the external. Each part embodies a naturalistic element resembling one of the many multitudes of a woman. We begin our story by diving into the water, an element of binaries bringing both tranquility and destruction, which our characters interact with at various points of the film. However, as for the next part of the trilogy called The Fragmentation we would like to partner with an experienced producer to create the film together. We are currently in the process of adapting the monologue to the screenplay and creating a visual identity and treatment which will represent the new element [earth] and progression of our characters.

Aside from The Motion and The Fragmentation, Deliverance is a final part of the trilogy, which will be build upon the progression and succession of two previous film. There is a possibility of expanding our three short films into a single complete work of art, yet that is the step we are postponing until after the completion of the three. We also expect further collaboration and recycling of our film stock to expand the medium and creative reach of just the short film and evolve into collaboration with bigger artistic institutions that specialise in visual art.

The Motion was successfully funded through the crowdfunding campaigns and donations from the cultural institutions and patrons (Cinemas in Amsterdam). Moving on, we are currently pitching The Deliverance on the Roman Coppola backed platform for the coverage of the development time and efforts.

We will most likely continue creating the second part with the same crew and cast which we worked with in the second part, however that is yet to be confirmed. We are open to the crew collaborations in all departments of the production.

In our dream team of 3, which already includes writer and director, we are seeking a like-minded and passionate individual to complete our creative group through producing. Therefore we are looking for a producer to work on a semi-long-term basis (1-2 years) to develop and promote an experimental short film trilogy. This includes embracing the restrictions that come with low-budget production while prospering the growth of production and our reach.

Who are you?
Producer who is excited to work on English-speaking shorts/features of different levels of experience. Dutch is a plus but not required. Importantly, you poses some interest or knowledge of experimental cinema. If not, we are more than willing to teach and explore together!
