Are you a voice actor with a passion for storytelling and audio drama? Want to collaborate on an exciting pilot for a new radio drama series about art fraud and intrigue? Then we're looking for you!

Van Laan & Van Laan is a new initiative from BAARS Media. With this initiative, we're bringing back the nostalgia of radio drama, but with a contemporary twist. We combine a layered mystery story with immersive sound, professional voice actors, and distribution as a podcast and audiobook.

What do we offer?
A unique opportunity to gain experience, make your voice heard, and be credited in the episode and on our website. This is initially an unpaid collaboration, ideal for talent looking to expand their portfolio. The pilot is intended to pitch to broadcasters and foundations, potentially freeing up funding for the production of follow-up episodes. If you worked on the pilot, you will, of course, have priority in casting for subsequent episodes, where compensation may be available.

The roles (ages indicative):

Pieter van Laan (male, 45-55 years): Charismatic, warm, with an authoritative and sharp tone.
Inez van Laan (woman, 45-55 years): Calm, analytical, clear and direct.
Thomas van Santen (male, 40-50 years old): Practical, with a dry sense of humor and a down-to-earth voice.
Marieke Schouten (woman, 40-50 years old): Tense, professional, with a slight nervousness.
Jari Konings (male, 40-50 years old): Authoritarian, defensive, with a strong voice.
Lemaire (male, 55-65 years): Friendly, with a French accent (optional).
The Curator (male, 50-65 years): Calm, charismatic, with a mysterious undertone.

Technical requirements:
You can supply shooting in uncompressed .wav format (44.1 kHz, 16-bit or higher).
Studio-quality audio, without background noise or echo.
Being able to record independently in a home studio is a plus.
Flexibility to do retakes remotely if necessary.
