Logline
Guided by an old former Dutch sex worker, a Russian gay refugee escapes the numbness and deprivation of life on the Rotterdam refugee ship by plunging into the new turbulent world of paid desire. As he battles disgust toward his clients and himself, he chooses a life of plenty, but loses his close transgender friend, with whom he came from home country.

Description
I'm seeking an experienced co-producer to submit a short film for an International Film Festival Rotterdam grant and other relevant Dutch or European funding schemes and then manage the full production cycle. Optional: If you have sufficient experience in festival promotion, you can take on this part of the work yourself too.

Job requirements / profile
+ Proven experience producing short or feature films.
+ Familiarity with Dutch or international film funding systems.
+ Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch will be an advantage.
+ LGBTQIA+ friendly and supportive of provocative sharp storytelling.
+ Liberal or moderate political views aligned with the film’s humanistic themes.
+ Based in the Netherlands or ready to temporarily move for the days of late pre-production and production phase to Rotterdam.
+ Pre-production, postproduction and festival promotion (if experienced) can be done remotely.
+ Optional: sufficient experience in festival promotion.
