DAMIAN is a gripping short film about a young man trying to navigate family, loyalty, and the temptations of the streets. Raised in a tough Rotterdam neighborhood, Damian becomes increasingly entangled in a world of crime, where power and respect come at a high price. While trying to protect his mother and brother, he faces the consequences of his choices and the moral boundaries he crosses.
The film tells a raw yet human story about identity, guilt and the search for redemption in an environment where good and evil often intertwine.

For DAMIAN, we are looking for a student producer (or aspiring producer) who wants to work with us to take this project to a professional level.
Someone with a passion for film and story, who understands the importance of collaboration and organization in creating a strong, character-driven short film.
We are looking for someone who:
Has an affinity with social-realistic or dramatic films.
Want to gain experience in producing a short film project.
Happy to think along about planning, budget, funds and festival strategy.
Proactive and a strong communicator, who enjoys working in a small, passionate team.
The project will be made as an entrance film for the film academy and will also be submitted to (inter)national film festivals.
A great opportunity to gain experience, build credits and be part of an ambitious and authentic film project.

Job requirements / profile
Must-have skills / experience:
Affinity with film, preferably social-realistic or character-driven stories.
Experience with or interest in film production, including pre-production, scheduling, and script management.
Strong organizational skills and good at time management.
Good communication skills, able to work well with director, crew and cast.
Proactive, problem-solving and hands-on.

Nice-to-have:
Basic knowledge of budgeting and funding applications.
Experience with festival submissions and distribution planning.
Enthusiasm for creative input and brainstorming about production solutions.

Other:
Available from October 2025 to February 2026 (pre-production, production and post-production).
Willing to be flexible in working hours during rotation periods.
Interested in building a portfolio/gaining experience for film academy or future projects?
