Wald Studios is assembling a small, dedicated team for an upcoming experimental short film - a 15–18 minute prelude to our planned full adaptation of The Stranger by Albert Camus.
This short focuses on a particular character (The Mother), atmosphere, and psychological tone, serving as a proof of concept for the larger feature currently in development with 20Steps (Georgia).

Set in the 1980s, in a weather-worn farmhouse, MAMAN follows the unraveling of a family through the eyes of a silent young boy, Meursault - and centers on the quiet endurance of his mother.

Adapted from the book "The Stranger" by Albert Camus.

The mother moves through the rhythms of rural life with a quiet strength, hanging laundry in the wind, preparing meals, tending to the fields, holding together a home that is slowly collapsing from within. Her husband, a brooding farmer, shifts between tenderness and violent unpredictability. Some evenings he sings or fixes the roof with the boy beside him, others he drinks heavily, his anger simmering just below the surface.

The short will be shot on film by our cinematographer Alejo Maglio, known for his bold visual style and uncompromising approach to craft.
We are looking for passionate collaborators with time, initiative, and a taste for risk. This is not a commercial production, this is an artistic expedition, driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to make something truly cinematic.

What do we offer?
