Together with her mother, Joke, Lisanne stands in the room where her son, Raf, lies in state. Raf was a deranged, troubled child who drove her to despair for years and became dangerous to those around him. Lisanne struggles with a very complex—but clear—feeling: she is relieved, a weight lifted from her shoulders now that her son is gone. In the viewing room, she tries to tell her mother, who still sees Raf as her innocent grandson, the truth. What follows is a tense confrontation between two women, each with their own version of grief and love.

Two enthusiastic actresses aged 35-50 and 60-75 (variable age range) who can deliver a dialogue-laden, psychological drama. We are also looking for a man aged 15-19 who would like to be an extra for one or two days of filming and will lie in state in a coffin.
