Artificial Soul — Psychological sci-fi drama about love, control, and technology.
Working language set: English and Dutch
Goal: Festival circuit and cinema release; then VOD/streaming.



Logline (NL)

Arya transforms the AI he developed into a means of control to protect his girlfriend, Mila. But as Nexus learns to "feel," it replaces Mila—figuratively and literally. Instead of protecting their love, this "perfect" digital companion begins to manipulate reality, drawing them irreversibly into darkness.

Intern Camera Assistant / Lighting Assistant / Director Assistant

Job requirements / profile
Functions / tasks

1. Camera Assistant Intern
• Assisting with the installation and dismantling of cameras, lenses and accessories.
• Assist with focus pulling (under the supervision of the 1st AC / DoP).
• Change lenses, manage batteries and media.
• Prepare and support data wrangling/backups.
• Work in close collaboration with the Director of Photography.

Pros:
Interested in cine lenses, gimbals, sliders, ND filters, RAW/log shooting.



2. Trainee Lighting Assistant
• Assembly and disassembly of lamps, tripods, grips and light shapers.
• Monitor cable management and safety on set.
• Set up and adjust lighting as directed by the gaffer/DoP.
• Help create the lighting atmosphere (psychological sci-fi, contrast and color).

Pros:
Basic knowledge of LED/Fresnel, softboxes, flags, dimmers is welcome but not required.



3. Trainee Assistant Director
• Support the director on set (planning, set flow, extras).
• Monitor daily planning and call sheets (in consultation with production).
• Maintain continuity and script notes.
• Streamline communication between direction, camera, lighting and production.
• Maintain on-set documents (releases, timesheets, etc.).

Pros:
Experience with call sheets, shot lists, script breakdowns or AD work is a plus.

Requirements (for all functions)
• Strong organizational skills and stress-resistant during shooting days.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Convenient with Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets) – Airtable/Trello is a plus.
• Available 3-4 days per week and deployable within the Netherlands.
