My name is Francisco Armendariz and I am writing to announce a casting call on January 24, 2026 11 am- 1 pm in N/J Space Amsterdam for my first feature film: Cary Red, the film is about Luke Scott, the guitarist and songwriter of Red Planet, must overcome a painful breakup with his ex-bandmate and girlfriend to save a record deal when he meets Cary Red, also healing from a toxic relationship, their connection sparks the music and love they both need.

What do we offer?
The audition process would have two calls: first individuals, showing their ability to improvise, connect with the characters will.

Also, what I am looking for is fresh acting as reference: Sean Baker Movies (Tangerine, The Florida Project and Red Rocket) acting style.

The shooting days are planned for Summer 2026 for 20 days in July.
It’s important that this is a first film and we would like to create a fresh, dynamic and cool environment.

Finishing, this is a paid role for the 6 characters that we will discuss when we get the final decision.

For this reason, I am looking for 6 actors (females and males) from 20 to 27 years old.
The Characters are:
1. Luke Scott: the guitarist and composer of the band Red Planet, who is dealing with a breakup. He is an emotional, soft and romantic person who can sometimes be very selfish.

2. Cary Red: A red hair girl, she lives in Ireland but for the summer comes to the Netherlands to her cousin’s house. She is dealing with the breakup of a toxic relationship. She is extrovert, sarcastic and funny person who have a good taste in music, however, she gets too intensive and put a lot of emotion and feelings in others.

3. Lily: Luke’s ex-girlfriend and former composer and guitarist from Red Planet. She is now member of the band Courage Mother who broke the indie scene and tours around Europe. She is a hard worker and emotional person; however, she will choose her career first.

4. James: He is Luke’s best friend and the drummer of Red Planet. He is a shy, small-talk and emotional person who always tries to avoid conflicts. He is always under the shadow of Luke, but he hides an extremely good composing talent.

5. Tyler: He is the leader and bass guitarist of Red planet. A fuckboy, egocentric and passionate person who will do everything to get a record label and be successful with his music. Despite the fact that he is always with a new girl, he will work hard to pursue his dreams.

6. Emma: She is James’s girlfriend. She is like Sharon Osbourne for James, who will push James to show his composition. But, she is a bit of a controller of what James does; this can make her create distance.
