Praise Joe (2026) is a short fiction film about Okki, a young director and film student who is confronted with the death of her lead actress during the shoot of her graduation film. She tries to come to grips with the half-finished project, while wrestling with guilt and the question of how to finish something when the person you made it for is no longer there.

I have previously directed short films in Groningen that were screened and won prizes at the Cine Challenge, including Mangat (2024), which won Best Film.

We're looking for a producer/production assistant who enjoys contributing to a small-scale, personal short film. You're well-organized, maintain a clear overview, and communicate clearly. Experience isn't required; motivation and commitment are more important to us than a resume. Ideally, you live in or near Groningen.

Job requirements / profile
Someone who wants to take on (part of) the production, such as:
- Thinking about and searching for locations
- Contact and planning with actors/actresses
- Helping to organize shooting days (schedules, maintaining an overview)
- General logistical support around the shoot
