Heart in Action is a short dark comedy about growing older, pride and the urge to remain significant.

The film follows Mark (75), a proud former organ donation courier who is convinced he's still the best in his field. When he unexpectedly receives one more urgent assignment—delivering a donor heart to a hospital—he seizes the opportunity to prove himself again. What begins as a simple delivery, however, turns into an increasingly chaotic and absurd chain of events.

The film is produced within the Dutch Filmers Academy (NAVB) and is made as a portfolio and learning project.

• Cyclist – person on a bicycle in a short scene
• Police Officer – small role with short interaction
• Slaughterhouse worker – short role in a scene
• 3 doctors – hospital setting
• Patient – young man or woman lying in a hospital bed in a short scene
