We are still looking for actors and actresses for a St.Joost graduation film by Lynn Raaijmakers!

E-999 is a short sci-fi, slightly absurdist film about the desire and side effects of all our ultra-processed food in the supermarket.



In the film, food scientist Tess creates a new candy product with a new E-number: 'E-999'. Initially, the candy product evokes a strong craving along with a new euphoric feeling. But when the product is used excessively, side effects appear. Tess also observes these side effects in her young daughter Fenna.

What do we offer?

For the film, we are still looking for a number of actors/actresses:

LEADING ROLE: TESS

Playing age: ± 30–35 years

Character: ambitious, intelligent, perfectionistic

Personality: driven scientist who is under great pressure, but also tries to be a caring mother.



SUPPORTING ROLE: SVEN

Playing age: ± 30–40 years

Character: Calm, Down-to-earth, Somewhat distant

Personality: Tess's ex-husband and Fenna's father. He has a calm and composed demeanor and tries to handle the divorce as practically as possible. Although he indicates that he still cares about Tess, he keeps some emotional distance and focuses primarily on putting the past behind him.



MINI SUPPORTING ROLE: COLLEAGUES TESS

This is a small supporting role to which no age, character, or personality is attached.



The filming period runs from April 11–16, 2026. The location for these filming days will be in Breda and the surrounding area (within a 50km radius of Breda). For the lead roles and major supporting roles, a small travel allowance and expense reimbursement are available. Unfortunately, there is no expense reimbursement for the mini supporting role, but travel expenses are reimbursed.

Catering is available on set for all roles.
