For the short drama film 'Overgaan', we are looking for extras for a few important scenes.

Overgaan tells the story of Mirre, an 8-year-old girl who is confronted with the sudden loss of her classmate Manoe. The film follows how she, and the people around her, each try to cope with grief in their own way. While those around her seem to expect a certain 'grieving process,' Mirre struggles with how to relate to it.

What do we offer?
Overgaan is a short graduation film that shows the first experience with loss and grief through the eyes of a child. The film will be screened at the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) and was also developed with an educational program in mind. In collaboration with an educationalist and a youth grief counselor, the film is being used as a starting point for conversations about grief in primary schools and at home.

Because this is a graduation film, and the entire team consists of passionate people from various film academies in the Netherlands, all working on this project voluntarily, it is an unpaid production. The budget is covered by a small crowdfunding campaign.

But food, drinks, and a great experience on set will be provided. Any involvement as an extra will be greatly appreciated!

Description
For an intimate classroom scene with children aged approximately 8, we are looking for parents (28–50 years old) who are present in the classroom. You will play a concerned parent during an emotional moment in the classroom as the children return to school for the first time following Manoe's passing. Some affinity with children is therefore desirable.

Additionally, for a subdued funeral scene, we are looking for people (aged 12–99) who wish to portray family members and loved ones of the family.

We are also looking for a number of children (aged 8-10) who would like to appear as Mirre's classmates.
