Landrot is a poetic children's film and coming-of-age drama that balances raw grief and the youthful fantasy of children.

Ten-year-old Damian is trapped in his grieving process following the death of his mother, Evelien. After his mother's passing, Damian remains stuck in his grief. His father, Eric, struggling with his own grief and powerlessness, forces Damian to join the 'Land Scouts,' convinced that those tough guys will offer him the stability he needs. When Damian finds a mysterious photo in his mother's old scouting blouse, he wants nothing more than to join the 'Water Scouts.' Determined to pursue this final connection with his mother, he forms an unlikely alliance with Water Scout Casper, an eccentric boy who sees himself as a pirate captain. What begins as a journey to get closer to his mother ends in an emotional discovery that brings Damian and Eric closer together once again.

Compensation
The film is being made as part of a student film project, and therefore we are unfortunately entirely dependent on crowdfunding and local support, and have little to no budget. However, we do offer full reimbursement of travel expenses and catering on set.
