Description
Jannik is a driven and perfectionist filmmaker who has become completely absorbed in his low-budget film, in which he has invested his own money, time, and identity. His obsessive craving for control and perfection leads to dramatic chaos, putting himself and his crew under pressure. He enjoys working unorthodoxly and thinking outside the box, sacrificing his own safety and well-being for his art and ending up on a criminal path. What was once his strength becomes his greatest adversary in this story: his perfectionism stands in the way of making his film.

Background
Jannik has always had a difficult home life. He could rarely be himself at home and often felt like he was doing everything wrong. At school, he set the bar extremely high for himself, because that was the only place where he felt he could do something “right”; here, he already tried to achieve perfection.
In addition, he escaped reality by watching films and inventing his own stories. That became his way of coping with everything. These experiences have shaped him into a perfectionist filmmaker: someone who creates stories that must be meticulously crafted and perfectly executed.
