EINSIEDLER tells the story of Job, a man trapped in a remote mill by a mysterious curse. Cut off from the outside world, he lives as a hermit, where his days are defined by silence and isolation until one day there is an unexpected knock at the door.

When the spontaneous and energetic Wieke steps into his world, Job is completely thrown off balance. While she explores the mill with curiosity, she turns Job's structure completely upside down.

What begins as an awkward encounter takes a turn when it becomes clear that Wieke can no longer leave the mill either. The space that initially held only Job captive now becomes a shared reality where tension and panic slowly mount.

As panic and tension mount, they are confronted with the boundaries of their own world and with each other.
