For my short experimental film "Write This In Red" (±6 min), I am looking for a first assistant.

I am Kim Wisse, a student at the HKU and the director of this film. Prior to this, I completed an audiovisual program and worked on various projects such as Mocro Maffia, Sleepers, and Safe Harbor for script continuity. I have also written and directed shorts myself, which have screened at Film by the Sea and the Fashion Film Festival in New York, among others. I love abstract, strong, and vulnerable art, and I reflect these qualities in my work.

The film explores trust, vulnerability, and power dynamics within a relationship, and visually moves between realism, emotional realism, and body horror. The project features an intimate, artistic style with a strong focus on atmosphere, visual language, and subtext.

SYNOPSIS:
Sarah and Jason share a loving relationship, until Jason, during a wedding,
used her vulnerable story in his speech.
What is connection to him feels like betrayal to her and puts their dynamic under pressure.

In an alienating, physical climax, Sarah frees herself from this break and takes the
control over her own identity. She does this by peeling the skin off her face and burying her ex.

Someone who remains calm under pressure, can maintain an overview, and enjoys working on an artistically and emotionally driven project. Experience is nice, but motivation, communication, and commitment are more important to me.

Job requirements / profile
- Monitoring the schedule during filming days
- Be the point of contact for cast and crew
- leading with structure and overview on set
- Assist with call sheet/planning
- Contribute ideas during production where necessary
