For my final semester thesis film, I am creating a coming-of-age drama centered around peer pressure, identity, and the fear of not fitting in. The story follows Milan, a lonely and isolated young man who struggles to connect with the people around him. After meeting Julian, he is introduced to a new social world filled with parties, drinking, smoking, and the feeling of belonging he has always been missing.

What begins as friendship and experimentation slowly develops into a deeper dependence on the lifestyle and the validation that comes with it. Through Milan’s transformation, the film explores how easily people can lose themselves while trying to be accepted, especially during youth when identity is still fragile and heavily influenced by social environments.

The film aims to portray peer pressure in a realistic and human way, not as direct manipulation, but as the quiet desire to belong, be understood, and avoid feeling alone. Visually and emotionally, the project focuses on the contrast between the excitement of freedom and the emptiness that can exist underneath

I am looking for four male actors, each characters profile can be read below:

Milan: 23. Before Julian, Milan is quiet, lonely, and disconnected from everyone around him. He’s never really had friends, never smoked, never partied, and spent most of his life feeling invisible. After smoking his first joint with Julian, Milan slowly gets pulled into partying, drinking, and drugs. What starts as freedom and belonging turns into something deeper, he becomes attached to the lifestyle because it finally makes him feel accepted. Unlike Julian, Milan doesn’t know his limits.

Energy: withdrawn, impressionable, searching for belonging.

Julian: 24. Julian is outgoing, funny, and naturally social. He loves parties, smoking weed, music, and chasing a good time, but unlike most people around him, he usually knows when to stop. He sees drugs and partying as something fun, not something serious. When he meets Milan, he introduces him to a world he’s never experienced before. Julian likes Milan because he’s genuine and different from the fake people around him. Without realising it, Julian becomes the person who changes Milan’s life completely.

Energy: charismatic, carefree, emotionally avoidant.

Anthony: 23. Anthony is the type of person who makes people laugh without even trying. He’s naturally funny, loud in the best way, and always keeps the energy up around the group. He’s down for almost anything — parties, drinking, smoking, random late-night ideas, and rarely says no, not because he’s reckless, but because he genuinely loves having fun.
Unlike people who use partying to escape something, Anthony mostly enjoys the moment for what it is. He doesn’t take life too seriously and becomes the kind of friend everyone wants around because he makes even boring situations entertaining.
Energy: chaotic, lovable, naturally comedic.

Lewis: 24. Lewis is calm, laid-back, and quieter than the rest of the group. He prefers smoking weed and experimenting with psychedelics over heavy partying, usually keeping to himself while everyone else gets louder around him. Even when he’s quiet, his presence matters, he’s someone the group naturally keeps around because he understands people without needing to say much. He joins the parties sometimes, but he’s more interested in the atmosphere and conversations than chaos or attention. Compared to the others, Lewis feels more grounded, almost like he’s observing everything from the outside while still being part of it.

Energy: calm, introspective, quietly important.
