Studied lighting and set design at the Paris Opera.
15 years mainly in France dozens of designs made and performed on tours halfway around the world. Also for National Ballet and Nederlands Danstheater (NDT3). In the early 90s followed training as video cameraman. From February 1994 to July 2012 worked as a permanent employee at AT5 (local TV channel of Amsterdam).
Now available as a freelance all-round cameraman/sound engineer and still as a lighting designer and lighting technician for film and video, both in the studio and on location and as a stage lighting technician in the theatre.

Too much to mention in 18 years of camera work at AT5 is more than 10% of the AT5 archive of mine, but what is of course etched in my memory is my night shift at the time of the Volendam fire on New Year's Eve 2000-2001. I was the first cameraman on site and my images went all over the world at the time. I was also one of the first on site at the crash of Turkish Airlines. These are not my most important projects creatively, but the subjects that have left the biggest impression on me. As for my lighting work, the designs made for the Opera in Paris, La Fenice in Venice and an evening-filling show with the National Ballet in the Stopera, called "Shamrock".
