specifics
I'm good at designing sets and finding, arranging and making props with a team to bring the characters to life. I can also handle small and large tools for making decors and props, among other things. I love to decorate and paint. Also on the computer (apple and PC) I am handy in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word and Excel and I have knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Vectorworks and Sketchup. My favorite movies include: Amelie, The fifth element, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the rings, Harry Potter, Hero and The Matrix. I speak Dutch, English and a little German.

Designing, daydreaming, being busy with color and material is what has kept me busy and inspired from an early age. Making words, ideas and dreams tangible is what I enjoy doing the most.
That is why I studied Spatial Design at Nimeto and then went on to study Production Design at the Netherlands Film and TV Academy in Amsterdam, graduating in 2005. Since then I have been working as a freelance art director and props for various feature films and television productions.
In addition to my work, I want to continue to develop, which is why I have followed various courses and workshops: furniture making, painting, ceramics and spatial design. And I am currently studying at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam to learn more about telling visual stories.
In addition, I like to design and make pillows/animals, diaries, interior solutions (such as tables and cupboards), decors for photography and stop motion animations.
I have worked on very different productions as art director, props and set dresser. From an opera film to supermarket commercials, from art house films and TV series to epic and historical (action) films.
