In 2014 I graduated as an editor at the Netherlands Film Academy. Before the film academy I did a course year scenario/direction/camera at Open Studio in Amsterdam. Before that I completed the training animation and audiovisual design at the graphic lyceum in Utrecht.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years it's that editing is a great profession. The editing room is the place where everything comes together, where you can watch the film for the first time. As an editor you can shape over time, beautiful moments last longer and when it gets boring you intervene. You choose the right images and sounds to let the story play out in the viewer's head as much as possible.
